Privacy policy
Effective 20 August 2026. Draft for an early product — not a substitute for counsel.
1. Who we are
This policy describes how the operators of hoversite (hoversite.ai) handle information when you use the product — the marketing site, sign-in, workbench, clone/edit agent, and related APIs.
Questions: jengacodelabs@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- Account. Email, name, and profile picture you (or Google, if you use Sign in with Google) give Clerk, our identity provider. We store your Clerk user id and email in our product database so we can show you your sites.
- Sites you import. The URL you clone, pages and assets we fetch, and the working copy we keep so the agent can edit and you can preview.
- Work you do in the product. Chat with the agent, file edits, sprint activity, heartbeat proposals, and publish history.
- Billing. If checkout is on, Stripe handles card data. We keep plan and status, not full card numbers.
- Technical logs. Request metadata, errors, and worker run logs we need to operate and debug the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your site content to train a public foundation model we own.
3. Why we use it
- Create and keep your account, and keep sites tied to you.
- Clone, preview, edit, and (when you ask) publish sites.
- Run the agent and heartbeat: drafts, SEO notes, suggested pages.
- Bill paid plans, if you subscribe.
- Keep the service up, secure, and debuggable.
4. Who processes it
We use other companies to run hoversite. They only get what they need for that job:
- Clerk — sign-in, sessions, Google OAuth if you choose it.
- Google — only if you tap Continue with Google (name, email, profile picture you approve).
- Vercel — hosts the product app.
- Neon — product database (users, sites, billing status, agent/heartbeat rows).
- Cloudflare — DNS and edge for hoversite.ai and related hostnames.
- Hetzner — worker that runs clone, build, and agent jobs.
- OpenRouter — routes model calls the agent makes on your sites.
- Stripe — payments, when checkout is configured.
5. Cookies and similar
Clerk sets session cookies so you stay signed in. We may use first-party storage for UI state. The marketing pages do not depend on an advertising cookie wall. If we add analytics later, we will update this page.
6. How long we keep it
Account and site data last as long as you keep the account, unless we have to keep a subset for security, billing, or law. Worker logs are operational and may be rotated. If you want an account or site deleted, email jengacodelabs@gmail.com from the address on the account.
7. Your choices
- See and update profile data in the product / Clerk account.
- Sign out; revoke Google access from your Google account.
- Ask us to export or delete your account data (jengacodelabs@gmail.com).
If you are in a region with extra rights (access, correction, deletion, portability, objection), email us and we will handle the request as the law requires.
8. Children
hoversite is for people who can form a contract. Do not use it if you are under 16 (or the higher age in your country).
9. Changes
We will change this page as the product changes. The date at the top is the latest version. Material changes get a note in the product or an email when we can.
